¹此后 ，摩押 人 和亚扪 人 ，又有米乌尼人 ，一同来 攻击 约沙法 。

¹It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

²有人来 报告 约沙法 说 ：从海 外 亚兰 (又作以东)那边有大 军 来 攻击你，如今他们在哈洗逊他玛 ，就是隐基底 。

²Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazon–tamar, which is En–gedi.

³约沙法 便惧怕 ，定意 寻求 耶和华 ，在犹大 全地 宣告 禁食 。

³ And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.^a

⁴于是犹大人 聚会 ，求 耶和华 帮助。犹大 各城 都有人出来 寻求 耶和华 。

⁴And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

⁵约沙法 就在犹大 和耶路撒冷 的会中 ，站在 耶和华 殿 的新 院 前 ，

⁵ ¶ And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

⁶说 ：耶和华 ―我们列祖 的神 啊，你不是天上 的神 么？你不是万邦 万国 的主宰 么？在你手中 有大能 大力 ，无人能抵挡 你。

⁶And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

⁷我们的神 啊，你不是曾在你民 以色列人 面前 驱逐 这地 的居民 ，将这地赐给 你朋友 亚伯拉罕 的后裔 永远 为业么？

⁷Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?^b

⁸他们住在 这地，又为你的名 建造 圣所 ，说 ：

⁸And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

⁹倘有祸患 临到 我们，或刀兵 灾殃 ，或瘟疫 饑荒 ，我们在急难 的时候，站在 这殿 前 向你呼求 ，你必垂听 而拯救 ，因为你的名 在这殿 里。

⁹If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

¹⁰从前以色列人出 埃及 地 的时候，你不容 以色列人 侵犯 亚扪 人 、摩押 人，和西珥 山 人，以色列 人就离开 他们，不灭绝 他们。

¹⁰And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

¹¹看哪，他们怎样报复 我们，要来 驱逐 我们出离你的地 ，就是你赐给我们为业 之地。

¹¹Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

¹²我们的神 啊，你不惩罚 他们么？因为我们无力 抵挡 这来 攻击我们的大 军 ，我们 也不知道 怎样行 ，我们的眼目 单仰望你。

¹²O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

¹³犹大众人 和 他们的婴孩 、妻子 、儿女 都站在 耶和华 面前 。

¹³And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

¹⁴那时，耶和华 的灵 在会 中 临到利未人 亚萨 的后裔 ―玛探雅 的元孙 ，耶利 的曾孙 ，比拿雅 的孙子 ，撒迦利雅 的儿子 雅哈悉 。

¹⁴ ¶ Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

¹⁵他说 ：犹大众人 、耶路撒冷 的居民 ，和约沙法 王 ，你们请听 。耶和华 对你们如此说 ：不要因 这大 军 恐惧 惊惶 ；因为胜败不在乎你们，乃在乎神 。

¹⁵ And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

¹⁶明日 你们要下去 迎敌，他们是从洗斯 坡 上来 ，你们必在耶鲁伊勒 旷野 前 的谷 口 遇见 他们。

¹⁶To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.^{c, d}

¹⁷犹大 和耶路撒冷 人哪，这次 你们不要争战 ，要摆阵 站着 ，看 耶和华 为你们施行拯救 。不要恐惧 ，也不要惊惶 。明日 当出去 迎敌 ，因为耶和华 与你们同在。

¹⁷Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

¹⁸约沙法 就面 伏 于地 ，犹大众人 和耶路撒冷 的居民 也俯伏 在耶和华 面前 ，叩拜 耶和华 。

¹⁸And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

¹⁹哥辖 族 和可拉 族 的利未人 都起来 ，用极大的 声音 赞美 耶和华 以色列 的神 。

¹⁹And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

²⁰次日清早 ，众人起来往提哥亚 的旷野 去 。出去 的时候，约沙法 站着 说 ：犹大人 和耶路撒冷 的居民 哪，要听 我说：信 耶和华 ―你们的神 就必立稳 ；信 他的先知 就必亨通 。

²⁰ ¶ And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

²¹约沙法既与民 商议了 ，就设立 歌唱的人 ，颂赞 耶和华 ，使他们穿上圣洁 的礼服 ，走在军 前 赞美耶和华 说 ：当称谢 耶和华 ，因他的慈爱 永远 长存！

²¹And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.^e

²²众人方 唱歌 赞美 的时候 ，耶和华 就派 伏兵 击杀那来 攻击犹大人 的亚扪 人 、摩押 人，和西珥 山 人，他们就被打败了 。

²² ¶ And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.^{f, g, h}

²³因为亚扪 人 和摩押 人起来 ，击杀 住 西珥 山 的人，将他们灭尽 ；灭尽 住 西珥 山的人之后，他们又彼此 自相击杀 。

²³For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.ⁱ

²⁴犹大人 来到 旷野 的望楼 ，向那大军 观看 ，见尸 横 遍地 ，没有一个逃脱 的。

²⁴And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.^j

²⁵约沙法 和他的百姓 就来 收取 敌人的财物 ，在尸首 中见了 许多 财物 、珍宝 ，他们剥脱下来 的多得不可携带 ；因为甚多 ，直收取了 三 日 。

²⁵And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

²⁶第四 日 众人聚集 在比拉迦 谷 (就是称颂的意思)，在那里称颂 耶和华 。因此那地方 名 叫 比拉迦 谷 ，直到今日 。

²⁶ ¶ And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.^k

²⁷犹大 人 和耶路撒冷 人都欢欢喜喜地 回 耶路撒冷 ，约沙法 率领 他们；因为耶和华 使他们战胜仇敌 ，就欢喜快乐 。

²⁷Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.^l

²⁸他们弹琴 、鼓瑟 、吹号 来到 耶路撒冷 ，进了耶和华 的殿 。

²⁸And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

²⁹列邦 诸国 听见 耶和华 战败 以色列 的仇敌 ，就甚惧怕 。

²⁹And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

³⁰这样，约沙法 的国 得享太平 ，因为神 赐他四境 平安 。

³⁰So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

³¹约沙法 作犹大 王 ，登基 的时候年三十 五 岁 ，在耶路撒冷 作王 二十 五 年 。他母亲 名叫 阿苏巴 ，乃示利希 的女儿 。

³¹ ¶ And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

³²约沙法效法他父 亚撒 所行的 ，不偏左右 ，行 耶和华 眼中 看为正 的事。

³²And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

³³只是邱坛 还没有废去 ，百姓 也没有立定 心意 归向他们列祖 的神 。

³³Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

³⁴约沙法 其余 的事 ，自始 至终 都写 在哈拿尼 的儿子 耶户 的书 上，也载入 以色列 诸王 记 上。

³⁴Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.^{m, n}

³⁵此后 ，犹大 王 约沙法 与以色列 王 亚哈谢 交好 ；亚哈谢行 恶 太甚。

³⁵ ¶ And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

³⁶二王合夥 造 船 要往他施 去 ，遂在以旬迦别 造 船 。

³⁶And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Ezion–geber.

³⁷那时玛利沙人 、多大瓦 的儿子 以利以谢 向约沙法 预言 说 ：因你与亚哈谢 交好 ，耶和华 必破坏 你所造的 。后来那船 果然破坏 ，不能 往他施 去了 。

³⁷Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
