¹犹大 众民 立 亚玛谢 的儿子 乌西雅 (又名亚撒利雅)接续他父 作王 ，那时他年十六 岁 。

¹Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.^a

²〈亚玛谢与他列祖 同睡 之后 ，乌西雅收回以禄 仍归 犹大 ，又重新修理 。〉

²He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

³乌西雅 登基 的时候年十六 岁 ，在耶路撒冷 作王 五十 二 年 。他母亲 名叫 耶可利雅 ，是耶路撒冷人 。

³Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

⁴乌西雅行 耶和华 眼中 看为正 的事，效法他父 亚玛谢 一切所行 的；

⁴And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

⁵通晓 神 默示 ，撒迦利亚 在世的时候 ，乌西雅定意寻求 神 ；他寻求 耶和华 ，神 就使他亨通 。

⁵And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.^b

⁶他出去 攻击 非利士人 ，拆毁了 迦特 城、雅比尼 城，和亚实突 城；在非利士人 中，在亚实突 境内，又建筑了 些城 。

⁶And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines.^c

⁷神 帮助 他攻击非利士人 和住 在姑珥巴力 的亚拉伯人 ，并米乌尼人 。

⁷And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur–baal, and the Mehunims.

⁸亚扪人 给乌西雅 进 贡 。他的名声 传 到 埃及 ，因他甚是 强盛 。

⁸And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad even to the entering in of Egypt; for he strengthened himself exceedingly.^d

⁹乌西雅 在耶路撒冷 的角 门 和谷 门 ，并城墙转弯 之处，建筑 城楼 ，且甚坚固 ；

⁹Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.^e

¹⁰又在旷野 与高原 和平原 ，建筑 望楼 ，挖了 许多 井 ，因他的牲畜 甚多 ；又在山地 和佳美之地 ，有农夫 和修理葡萄园的人 ，因为他喜悦 农事 。

¹⁰Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry.^{f, g, h}

¹¹乌西雅 又有军兵 ，照书记 耶利 和官长 玛西雅 所数点 的，在王 的一个将军 哈拿尼 雅手下 ，分队 出 战 。

¹¹Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king's captains.

¹²族 长 、大能 勇士 的总数 共有二千 六 百 人，

¹²The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valour were two thousand and six hundred.

¹³他们手下 的军兵 共有三十万七千 五 百 人，都有大能 ，善于 争战 ，帮助 王 攻击仇敌 。

¹³And under their hand was an army, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred, that made war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.ⁱ

¹⁴乌西雅 为全军 预备 盾牌 、枪 、盔 、甲 、弓 ，和甩石 的机絃 ，

¹⁴And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones.^j

¹⁵又在耶路撒冷 使 巧匠 做 机器 ，安在城楼 和角楼 上，用以射 箭 发石 。乌西雅的名声 传到 远方 ；因为他得了非常的 帮助 ，甚是 强盛 。

¹⁵And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.^k

¹⁶他既强盛 ，就心高气傲，以致行事邪僻 ，干犯 耶和华 ―他的神 ，进 耶和华 的殿 ，要在香 坛 上烧香 。

¹⁶ ¶ But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

¹⁷祭司 亚撒利雅 率领耶和华 勇敢的 祭司 八十 人，跟随 他进去 。

¹⁷And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:

¹⁸他们就阻挡 乌西雅 王 ，对他说 ：乌西雅 啊，给耶和华 烧香 不是你的事，乃是亚伦 子孙 承接圣职 祭司 的事。你出 圣殿 罢！因为你犯了罪 。你行这事，耶和华 神 必不使你得荣耀 。

¹⁸And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.

¹⁹乌西雅 就发怒 ，手 拿香炉 要烧香 。他向祭司 发怒 的时候，在耶和华 殿 中香 坛 旁众祭司 面前 ，额上 忽然发出 大痲疯 。

¹⁹Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar.

²⁰大 祭司 亚撒利雅 和众祭司 观看 ，见他额上 发出大痲疯 ，就催 他出殿；他自己也急速 出去 ，因为耶和华 降灾 与他。

²⁰And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.

²¹乌西雅 王 长大痲疯 直到死 日 ，因此住在 别的 宫 里，与耶和华 的殿 隔绝 。他儿子 约坦 管理家 事，治理 国 民 。

²¹And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.^l

²²乌西雅 其余的 事 ，自始 至终 都是亚摩斯 的儿子 先知 以赛亚 所记 的。

²² ¶ Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write.

²³乌西雅 与他列祖 同睡 ，葬 在王陵 的田间 他列祖 的坟地里；因为人说 ，他是长大痲疯 的。他儿子 约坦 接续他作王 。

²³So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
